Jin, the Magic Tisi
(To Puff the Magic Dragon by Peter, Paul & Mary)
By Thorin N. Tatge
As sung by Reba of Rivermill
Jin, the magic Tisi lived here and there,
And danced and whirled upon a stage with flowing aqua hair!
Silly purple Reba loved that rascal Jin
And made him songs and valentines, and joined with him in sin!
Oh, Jin, the magic Tisi lived here and there,
And danced and whirled upon a stage with flowing aqua hair!
Jin, the magic Tisi lived here and there,
And danced and whirled upon a stage with flowing aqua hair!
Together they would travel through cosmic folds and seams,
Having fun adventures while exploring fertile themes!
Pirate ships were vanquished with otherworldly speed.
Marauding killer aliens blew up as Jin decreed!
Oh, Jin, the magic Tisi lived here and there,
And danced and whirled upon a stage with flowing aqua hair!
Jin, the magic Tisi lived here and there,
And danced and whirled upon a stage with flowing aqua hair!
A Tisi lives forever, but not so a raccoon.
Pretty things like purple rings grow tarnished all too soon.
One gray night it happened—his Reba slipped away,
And Jin the Tisiphonian was flooded with dismay!
His head was bent in sorrow, white scales no longer bright,
Jin no longer yearned to be a creature of the night.
Without his life-long friend, Jin could not be brave,
So now he spends his days and nights just pining at her grave.
Oh, Jin, the magic Tisi lived here and there,
And danced and whirled upon a stage with flowing aqua hair!
Jin, the magic Tisi lived here and there,
And danced and whirled upon a stage
with flowing aqua hair!
